Ms. Addis has been one of our registration specialists for almost two years.  She is one of the first you will see when you arrive for your appointment.  She will gather all the pertinent registration information and in order for our Billing department to file your insurance and to schedule any special tests or surgeries that are necessary to treat your problem or need.  Ms. Addis will be the person to call you if you are having surgery to discuss any financial issues prior to surgery.  She also assists the Assistant Administrator with special projects.

Mrs. Carpenter has been one of our registration specialists for four years. She is also one of the first people you will see when you arrive for your appointment. Ms. Carpenter also provides the highest level of customer service by successfully registering and scheduling your appointment, gathering all the pertinent and necessary patient information in order for our Billing Department to file your insurance accurately and to schedule any special testing or surgeries that are necessary to treat your problem or need.  She also assists the Assistant Administrator with special projects.

Maria is a mutliskilled professional who performs a wide range of roles in our office. Her primary role is to perform as precertification specialist for special tests one of our physicians may order for you. The precertification process involves obtaining authorization from your insurance company for any special test such as an MRIs or CAT scan for example. Maria also functions in the clinic as point-of-contact for certain clinics held throughout the week to ensure the clinic flow is managed efficiently.  Maria has also been trained to serve as backup to the Precertification Specialist - Surgery.

Mrs. Williams has been with Sports Medicine Associates for 12 years. Her major responsibilities include scheduling surgery for our patients and ensuring that all the necessary documentation is signed and delivered to the appropriate surgical facility. Mrs. Williams also obtains pre-certification on all surgeries and assists with special test pre-certification. She initially worked as a receptionist in our Physical Therapy Department and was later promoted to surgery coordinator.
